  I had a study done and was told that I would not be able to speak with a doctor since the results were "normal." I wanted to speak with any doctor since my doctor was gone for a few days. I had a few questions that needed to be clarified. The nurse I spoke with was rude and incompetent. She told me that since the study was normal I would not get to speak with a doctor. She also saidI did not have Crohns or Colitis. I asked her why am I taking medicine and she could not give me an answer. She was incorrect to tell me I did not have Crohns or Colitis. I wanted to speak with the doctor on call and the number provided did not work. When I called back to leave a message with the operator my call was NEVER returned. When you incorrectly tell someone that they do not have a disease for which they are taking 2 pills twice a day they deserve a call back! Patient care is NOT a top priority here. I have never been treated this poorly before. Dr. Bender called 3 days later once she was in the office to review my results. I do in fact have IBD, she's calling it Crohn's Colitis. I am not happy with the order of the tests I had done and the length of time it took to get a diagnosis. I like Dr. Bender, but this practice is not patient care centered. It seems to be more about volume and getting as many patients in the practice as possible.
